1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ReportPilot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

ReportPilot is an automated financial reporting service that connects to your Xero accounting software to generate monthly financial reports and insights. The Service includes:

  • Automated data synchronization with Xero
  • Financial dashboard with key metrics
  • AI-generated insights and analysis
  • Monthly email reports
  • Historical data tracking and comparisons

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Have a valid Google account for authentication
  • Have a Xero account with appropriate permissions
  • Authorize our application to access your Xero data
  • Provide accurate and complete information

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Xero Integration

By connecting your Xero account, you:

  • Authorize us to access your financial reports via the Xero API
  • Confirm you have the authority to grant this access
  • Understand that we will store snapshots of your financial data
  • Can revoke access at any time through our dashboard or Xero settings

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to process data you do not have rights to access

6. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) to generate financial insights. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only
  • They do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice
  • You should consult qualified professionals for important decisions
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content

7. Data Accuracy

The reports and metrics displayed are derived from data provided by Xero. We are not responsible for:

  • Inaccuracies in the underlying Xero data
  • Delays in data synchronization
  • Changes made to historical data in Xero
  • Discrepancies between our reports and official financial statements

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REPORTPILOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by disconnecting your Xero account and contacting us to delete your data. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
