Reach Reporting details checked on 1 November 2026 from Reach Reporting's own website

Short answer: Reach Reporting is a reporting and planning platform for accounting firms, CFOs and businesses: custom reports and templates, three-way forecasting and multi-year planning, multi-currency consolidation, live dashboards and a client portal, priced per data connection from USD 149 a month. ReportPilot is far narrower: it emails each owner a short plain-English summary of their Xero figures every Monday, with a 24-month dashboard and scheduled report packs, from USD 19 a month. Choose Reach for FP&A and custom client reporting. Choose ReportPilot for a simple weekly email from Xero.

Where Reach Reporting is the better choice

  • Planning: three-way forecasts, multi-year plans and projections of receivables, payables and inventory.
  • Consolidation in several currencies.
  • Custom reports and templates, a client portal, and unlimited users and deliverables.
  • QuickBooks, MYOB and other data sources as well as Xero, and a longer free trial (30 days).

Where ReportPilot is the better choice

  • A plain-English Monday email that needs no report design: cash, sales, profit, who owes money, bills due and one thing to do.
  • Price: USD 19 a month for one organisation against USD 149 for one Reach connection; USD 49 for up to 15 organisations against USD 290 for 10 connections.
  • Practice-branded client emails and approve-before-send report packs are included in the plan price.

ReportPilot does not consolidate companies, build forecasts or budgets, or let you design custom reports and KPIs. It connects to Xero only.

What it costs

One organisation: Reach is USD 149 a month for one data connection; ReportPilot Owner is USD 19. Ten organisations: Reach is USD 290 a month; ReportPilot Bookkeeper covers up to 15 for USD 49. Reach's price includes forecasting, consolidation and custom reporting, which ReportPilot does not offer.

Who each is best for

Reach Reporting: firms and finance teams that build custom reporting and forecasts for clients, or work across QuickBooks and Xero.

ReportPilot: owners on Xero and their bookkeepers who want a short weekly email rather than a reporting platform.

Trying ReportPilot next to Reach Reporting

You do not have to switch to compare. Xero lets one organisation connect to several apps at once, and ReportPilot only reads from Xero, so it cannot change anything another app relies on.

  1. Connect Xero with Connect Xero: pick the organisation on Xero's own screen. ReportPilot gets read-only access; no card is needed for the 14-day trial.
  2. Read the first email. ReportPilot loads 24 months of history, usually within a few minutes, and sends the first insight email. Put it next to the report you get from Reach Reporting today and ask which one the owner would actually read.
  3. Set up one report pack (bookkeepers): the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and aged receivables as PDF or Excel, monthly, with approve-before-send so nothing reaches a client before you have looked at it.
  4. Run both for a full month end. Only then decide whether some or all clients move. Keep Reach Reporting for the work ReportPilot does not do: consolidation, forecasts and custom reports.

Common questions

How much does Reach Reporting cost?

On 1 November 2026 Reach's pricing page listed USD 149 a month for 1 data connection, USD 290 for 10 and USD 550 for 25, with annual plans saving up to 30% and white label as an extra. It offered a 30-day free trial with no card. Check reachreporting.com for current prices.

Is ReportPilot a replacement for Reach Reporting?

Not for forecasting, consolidation, custom templates or a client portal. It can replace a regular "how did we do" report to owners, as a plain-English weekly email.

Does ReportPilot work with QuickBooks?

No, Xero only. Reach connects to QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, MYOB and others.

Can clients see a dashboard without logging in?

In ReportPilot, yes: each person on the weekly email gets a read-only link to the 24-month dashboard (each link lasts 45 days, and stops working if they are taken off the email). Reach offers a client portal and shareable dashboards.
